To be honest, it's probably 50/50 on whether or not it would help this application. We believe it will lessen the impact but will likely not filter it out completely. It helps reduce the "sharpness" or "startle" of a dog barking next door, for instance, but doesn't render it inaudible.
It's definitely most helpful in a quiet bedroom when our ears are sensitive to even a little bit of sound (SNOOZ doesn't have to be on a very high setting for it to feel like it's filling the room with sound).
